From the autumn of 2009 BA-HR will be participating, as the only law firm, in the Grønn Byggallianse project. BA-HR's fellow participants will be, among others, Aspelin-Ramm, OBOS, Statsbygg, Skanska, Veidekke, Storebrand, Steen & Strøm, Linstow and Entra. Grønn Byggallianse is intended to promote the development of environmentally efficient buildings. It aims to establish an environmental classification system, allocating positive values to buildings that meet strict, forward-looking requirements for environmental efficiency. Emphasis will be put on energy conservation, efficient insulation, adaptation to external infrastructure and the overall quality of materials/application of resources. Eventually, the intention is that environmentally efficient buildings should also be financially preferable at every phase of the construction process (from project planning, through construction to operation and refurbishment).
