Our lawyers

We believe that all BA‑HR employees should, wherever possible, receive professional and personal challenges, adapted to their interests and level of expertise. Experience tells us that this is how professional skills can best be nurtured.

BA‑HR’s lawyers are characterised by their strong qualifications, team spirit and commitment to our clients and the wider business community. Individually, our lawyers are hugely skilled, but our true strength lies in our ability to assemble and coordinate teams, focused on the case at hand. These provide the best results for our clients, while affording learning opportunities and a sense of security for new employees. We aim to be the best commercial law training ground for younger lawyers, and we have put considerable effort into ensuring that this is the case.

Our organisational structure is based on equal sharing between partners and the absence of budgetary constraints, hourly billing requirements and invoicing responsibility for individual lawyers. This ensures that it is always the needs of the client – and nothing else – that determine how work is conducted.

From associate to senior lawyer

Our associate posts are held by people who may or may not have licences to practise as lawyers. After five years, associates who have demonstrated sufficient promise and sound professional development may be offered a post as a senior associate. This involves a greater degree of independence and responsibility in performing and organising assignments.

Lawyers who have been with the firm for a longer period may be offered a post as a senior lawyer. This is a particularly challenging position, since senior lawyers may have overall responsibility for cases.

Senior lawyers and senior associates may be offered partnerships, and as such become owners of the firm. A career with BA‑HR is built on professional ability, effort over time, the desire to contribute to the team, personal ambition and the ability to give that little bit extra.
