Competition Law in Norway - 2016 in review and what to expect in 2017
Under the helm of the new Director General Lars Sørgard, 2016 was another active year for the Norwegian Competition Authority. It was also an active year at the EFTA surveillance authority (ESA) with developments in longstanding matters and new cases being opened.
On the behavioural side, both the NCA and the ESA took major steps in their parallel ongoing investigation into the national telecom champion Telenor.
